While Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 users in North America have received the latest update for Windows Phone 8 – codenamed “Portico” – back in December 2012, the update is still nowhere to be seen for Malaysian users although Nokia have stated that the company together with Microsoft have aimed to release the update in markets outside of North America this month.
That wait is about to end very soon though as Nokia Malaysia has stated that the update – which brings together couple of enhancements to Nokia Lumia devices in terms of imaging, messaging, battery management and more – will be rolled out for Malaysian users next month. This fact was revealed through a number of replies to users at its Facebook page.
Nokia Malaysia also pointed out that the update will be rolled out in phased manner, so the actual time frame might be different from one unit to another. Nevertheless, let’s hope that Nokia and Microsoft will be able to meet the update schedule for Malaysian users accordingly.
