It is not known whether there is a relation between what we are about to discuss here and the unveiling of Alcatel One Touch products at CES 2013 but one thing is sure – the timing couldn’t be any better. Come tomorrow, Ten Ten Telecommunications – the sole distributor of Alcatel One Touch products in our shores – will be revealing the brand’s 2013 product roadmap for Malaysian market as it aims to boost the brand’s position in our shores.
There is no doubt that product selection plays an important role in helping the brand reach that objective. Hence, it will be interesting to see which of the new products from CES 2013 will end up in Malaysia in the near future. The Alcatel One Touch brand in Malaysia is currently lingering around the low and middle range segment of the market through three devices – the 993D Insight and 997D Explore Android smartphones as well as T10 Android tablet – which are priced between RM 499 and RM 799.
So, do tune in tomorrow to find out what does Alcatel One Touch has in store for Malaysian consumers in 2013.

The 997D is already available in Seremban since December 2012. For what it sells for, it is a pretty feature laden phone and represents excellent value for money.
I can attest to the 997D, as I had just bought it 3 days ago. For the price i’ve paid (RM699), and like most Alcatels, it’s excellent value for money and it’s good quality too, even if the whole phone is made out of plastic to save cost. Also, from my experiences with Alcatels, they are reliable and tough too.
Good to see that Alcatel is really coming back..
