Besides the announcement of its new Mi MIX Alpha smartphone, Xiaomi also announced the latest addition to its Mi TV lineup. Specifically, the new Mi TV lineup is officially known as the Mi Full Screen TV Pro, and yes, the name is a mouthful.

Off the bat, the Mi Full Screen TV Pro comes in the sizes: 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. Regardless of size, all three variants feature a new “flagship” full-screen display. Complete with a near bezel-less design and 97% screen-to-body ratio. In keeping with its clean design theme, the TV’s frame is made out of an aluminium alloy, while the base is still made of a sturdier metal.

In terms of display resolution, all variants of the Mi Full Screen TV Pro will have a maximum resolution of 4K UHD, and supports up to 8K video playback. Of course, it’s a Smart TV too, and as such, the TV is powered by a 9th generation Amlogic T972 quad-core chipset. Which is based on the 12nm FinFET process.

Additionally, the Mi Full Screen TV Pro will also ship out with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On top of that, the TV will also support Dolby Audio and DTS HD sound, plus a multitude of IoT devices and services. Like all modern Smart TVs, the display also Xiaomi’s own XiaoAi AI assistant built-in.

At the time of writing, Xiaomi did not mention a global release date for the Mi Full Screen TV Pro, but it’s clear that the TV will first see circulation within China before that. Price-wise, the TV starts from 1499 Yuan (~RM882) for the 43-inch, 2399 Yuan (~RM1411) for the 55-inch, and 3399 Yuan (~RM1999) for the 65-inch model.
