Nissan has unveiled the first official images of its facelifted Ariya electric SUV crossover ahead of its debut at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. However, this model has been reported to be an exclusive Japan-only model as of now.
Nevertheless, let us see what updates have been made to the Ariya. In terms of design, the EV crossover gets a smooth, grille-less front. The front fascia has also been updated with newly designed LED headlights that are shaped to resemble the number seven.

Other design features that have been updated include the removal of the side intakes and fog lights. Completing the update are the newly styled five-spoke alloy wheels featuring a fresh texture and a new exterior colour option.
Inside, the cabin has been updated with a new Google-powered infotainment system replacing the 12.3-inch centre display. The updated display is claimed to be more user-friendly and is integrated directly into the dashboard.

According to ArenaEV, the performance of the facelifted Nissan Ariya will likely retain the same performance and range figures as its predecessor. For reference, the previous version comes in four trims, with two of them offering a two-wheel drive (2WD) configuration while the other two are four-wheel drive (4WD).
The 2WD variant is powered by a single electric motor, with the base version producing 160 kW and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 65 kWh battery that delivers up to 450 km of WLTP-rated range. The higher-spec version outputs 170 kW and 300 Nm, matched with a larger 90 kWh battery capable of achieving up to 610 km on the WLTP cycle.

As for the AWD model, it features a dual-motor setup delivering 250 kW and 560 Nm, or 290 kW and 600 Nm, depending on the configuration. Both variants utilise the same battery capacities as their 2WD counterparts, offering WLTP ranges of 430 km and 580 km respectively.
The refreshed Ariya also benefits from a revised suspension system tuned specifically for Japanese roads. While Nissan hasn’t shared in-depth technical details, the update is designed to provide a smoother and more composed ride suited to local driving conditions.

Another notable addition is Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, which allows the Ariya’s battery to function as a portable power source. This feature can power devices ranging from laptops to small appliances, an especially convenient option for outdoor adventures or emergency situations.
