Renowned British marque Bentley has unveiled the EXP 15 concept, which is not intended for sale as its concept status suggests. That being said, it is meant to offer a glimpse into the design direction of its upcoming fully electric vehicle, set to debut next year.
The EXP 15 itself takes inspiration from the 1930 three-seater Bentley Speed Six nicknamed “Blue Train”. Therefore, the iconic upright grille, the long bonnet, “rearward cabin and powerful rear haunches” are all there. The front headlights are made up four ultra-slim strips, with the top two simply vertical and the bottom two kinked inwards – and positioned just inside the wheel arches. These lights also frame the large front grille interpreting Bentley’s famous diamond quilt seat design.
The rear features a full with LED taillights that wraps around the new Winged B emblem. However, this writer thinks that the side profiling of the car, very much resembles the Jaguar 00 concept. Nevertheless, the Bentley seems to have a more sensible design compared to the Jaguar.
As for the interior, it is accessible exclusively through virtual reality, and being a concept car, the EXP 15 features a three-seat layout and three-door setup: one door on the driver’s side and twin coach doors on the passenger side, which open in conjunction with a section of the panoramic roof. The passenger seat is highly versatile and can be positioned in multiple ways: moved forward alongside the driver , slid back to align with the rear seat, or fully reclined and can swivel 45 degrees outward.
The interior also features Bentley’s signature rotating dashboard, enhanced by the Mechanical Marvel — a clock-like device with multiple movable and illuminated fingers capable of displaying the direction of travel, battery charge status, and more.
Design materials further elevate the experience, starting with a striking Pallas Gold satin paint finish. Inside, a luxurious fine silk jacquard textile is paired with Acrylic Couture—a woven metal mesh encapsulated in acrylic that produces radiant 3D lighting effects within the dashboard. Additionally, a 100% wool textile in a damson ombre effect is featured as part of the executive trim theme, alongside real 3D-printed titanium finishes.
