Rakuten Kobo has announced that it is releasing the Kobo Clara Colour in white. This is essentially the same Clara Colour eReader that was launched last year, but in a new white colourway.
To recap, the device sports a 6-inch display with 1,448 x 1,072 pixel resolution. For black and white content, it offers a pixel density of 300 PPI. Meanwhile, it gets a 150 PPI pixel density for colour content. The display brightness and colour temperature is also adjustable for optimal reading at any time of day. Additionally, the lightweight eReader comes with an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
Under the hood, the device packs a dual 2.0GHz processor, along with 16GB of storage. For connectivity, the device supports WiFi 5, as well as Bluetooth, although Rakuten Kobo did not specify which version. It is worth noting that the new white model gets a slightly bigger 1,900mAh battery. That said, the claimed battery life is still 42 days.
The white Kobo Clara Colour will be available starting from 23 September 2025, and is priced at RM799. Those interested in purchasing the eReader will be able to do so via authorised retailers including All IT Hypermarket, Mono Digital, and SNS Network.
The brand also offers accessories like the Kobo Clara Colour SleepCover, which costs RM155. Aside from that, the Kobo Clara Colour Basic SleepCover and Clear Case are available for a more affordable RM95.
