Hyundai unveiled its second ever performance EV, the Ioniq 6 N, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England. Although deemed to be a new model, it seems like the 6 N has many similarities with its predecessor in terms of powertrain.
Before we dive into that, let us see how the car looks. As we reported before, the front of the 6 N features thin, sharply angled LEDs that act as daytime running lights, while the headlights are placed below the bonnet. The front fascia also has an open grille with angular contours and large side air intakes.

As for the rear, it features taillights with a grid-like arrangement. Other features include the swan-neck-style rear wing and wider fenders for aerodynamic purposes. Overall, the exterior design gives the sedan a sporty and somewhat aggressive stance.
As for the interior, there is not much information provided by the automaker. Nevertheless, looking at the pictures, it seems like the Ioniq 6 N comes with dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment.

It also has a flat-bottomed, performance-style steering wheel with multifunction controls. Furthermore, the interior comes with N Ambient Shift Light, which – if you haven’t guessed it yet – refers to ambient lighting for the cabin.
Now coming to the powertrain, as mentioned above, the 6 N features the same dual-motor setup as the 5 N. However, the 6 N produces more power, with the front motor generating 166 kW (226 PS), while the rear motor delivers 448 kW (383 PS).

Together, they produce 448 kW (609 PS) and complete the 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 257 km/h. Powering the dual motor is the same 84 kWh battery that is present in the 5 N. The 6 N will be able to juice up from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger.
However, the 6 N has a fully redesigned and re-engineered suspension geometry and chassis, which, according to Hyundai, elevates handling precision and track performance. It also features stroke-sensing ECS (Electronically Controlled Suspension) dampers, which allow a wide range of damper settings and adjustments.

Other performance features include the N Active Sound+ system, N e-Shift, N Track Manager, and N Drift Optimiser. All of these features are there to help enhance the performance of the car while allowing the driver to have some fun with it as well.
As for other details such as range and price, Hyundai is being tight-lipped about it for the moment. Also, there is no information on the global launch either.
