It’s no secret that ASUS has been working on creating NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs for the Middle Eastern market with the Dahab series, and one such card that is now available in that region’s market is the RTX 5090 Astral Dahab. Built with 6.5g of real gold, the card costs more than US$7,000 (~RM30,201).
The card is obviously an exercise in excess and luxury, clearly aimed at the Middle Eastern gamer that is both wealthy beyond belief and has the disposable income to burn. Specs-wise, the card is still ASUS’ top-tier RTX 5090 Astral, which is also currently the world’s fastest GPU. Also, if you’re wondering about the name, Dahab is the Arabic word for gold.

The gold-plating of the Astral Dahab, as mentioned, uses 6.5g of gold with a fineness of 999. On the global market, that’s approximately more than US$700 (~RM3,020). Adding to the middle eastern theme and luxury is the emerald accents that can be seen all over the card’s cooler shroud.
Overclocking.com mentions that with the RTX 5090 Astral Dahab already available, retailers that have the card are charging between US$7,100 (~RM30,632) and US$10,600 (~RM45,733) for the card. While the GPU’s technical value is considerably less, this is still a limited edition card. Makes sense, then, why retailers in the Middle East are charging that much for it.

On the plus side, when the card and its GPU architecture officially becomes obsolete, the card would at least be worth its weight in gold.
