Rakuten Kobo has launched its Kobo Plus subscription service in Malaysia, offering readers unlimited access to over 2 million eBooks and more than 300,000 audiobooks. The service is available at a starting price of MYR 27.00 per month.
Kobo Plus is accessible through the Kobo Books App for iOS and Android, as well as on Kobo eReaders. This launch expands Kobo’s presence in Asia, aiming to attract a new generation of readers who seek affordability and accessibility.
The subscription service provides a diverse range of content, including bestsellers, literary classics, thrillers, romance novels, and nonfiction. Kobo Plus offers three subscription plans:
- Kobo Plus Read: Unlimited eBooks for MYR 27.00 per month
- Kobo Plus Listen: Unlimited audiobooks for MYR 27.00 per month
- Kobo Plus Read and Listen: Unlimited eBooks and audiobooks for MYR 35.00 per month
New titles are added regularly to the growing catalogue. Users can also try the subscription with a 14-day free trial before committing to a plan.
