NVIDIA recently announced ahead of GDC 2025 that its self-named NVIDIA RTX Remix kit is finally out of beta and now officially available to the modding community as a whole. Not only that, but the suite of modding tools have also been updated to support NVIDIA’s latest DLSS 4 and Multiframe Generation (MFG) technologies, announced and introduced with the launch of the RTX 50 Series.
RTX Remix not only brings support of DLSS 4 and MFG but also Neural Radiance Cache, Enhance Texture Streaming, Enhance Character Creation, RTX Skin & Subsurface Scattering, to name a few things that the toolkit provides. To make things even more intuitive, NVIDIA is also offering tutorials on how to use the feature. Simply head over here to get started.
To make your own RTX Mods, download NVIDIA RTX Remix from the Home screen of NVIDIA app, or from our website. NVIDIA RTX Remix requires a GeForce RTX GPU to create RTX Remix Mods, while mods and games built using Remix are compatible with any hardware that can run Vulkan ray-traced games. To find RTX Remix mods to download and play, we recommend ModDB and the RTX Remix Showcase Discord server.

In conjunction with the launch of RTX Remix, NVIDIA also announced that a playable demo of Half-Life 2 RTX will be available starting next week. 18 March, to be specific. For the uninitiated, Half-Life 2 RTX is a remastering of the original game that released back in 2004, by Orbifold Studios. Basically, the remaster reimagines the game with the addition of assets that have been…well, remastered with ray-tracing, Neural Radiance Caching, and of course, DLSS 4 and multiframe generation.
