Sony has updated its Creators’ Cloud platform and Creators’ App, introducing enhanced cloud transfer options that streamline content management for photographers and videographers. The latest update simplifies workflows by enabling automatic uploads from select Sony cameras directly to Google Drive or Adobe Lightroom.

Needless to say, the new automatic cloud transfer feature enables users to seamlessly move images and videos to Google Drive, as well as transfer content directly to Adobe Lightroom for immediate editing. Sony says this new addition comes as a response to creator demands for a faster and more efficient workflow, eliminating the need for manual uploads.

Additionally, smartphone transfer capabilities have been improved. With differential transfer, only new or unsent files are moved, saving time and storage space. Remote camera control features via smartphones also continue to evolve, providing users with greater flexibility in adjusting settings directly from their mobile devices.

Sony has also expanded storage options within the Creators’ Cloud platform, offering a free 5GB plan for all users, with Sony camera owners receiving 25GB of complimentary storage. Premium plans extend up to 500GB, catering to a variety of storage needs.
