Last month, ASUS officially unveiled its latest entry into its series of gaming phones, the ROG Phone 7, as well as an Ultimate variant. The company also mentioned a five-day exhibit starting on 10 May, which is also the day the phone gets officially launched in Malaysia. As promised, the company has done just that, and also announcing the prices for the models that have been made available for the local market.

We’ve talked about the ASUS ROG Phone 7 at length, especially when it comes to its spec sheet. But if you’ve missed it, here’s a quick rundown to get you up to speed. For the most part, and minus some visual differences on the outside, there is very little to differentiate the base model from its Ultimate iteration. Where the difference is, though, is its cooling system, which works ever so slightly better with the AeroActive Cooler 7 accessory.

Beyond that, both the base model ASUS ROG Phone 7 and the Ultimate variant come with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ 165Hz display with a 720Hz touch sampling rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and 6000mAh battery. For their cameras, they come with a 50MP main + 13MP wide-angle camera combo at the back, and a 32MP shooter in front. Since these phones still come with slight bezels, that’s where the front-facing camera sits. Ditto the stereo forward-firing speakers. Overall, you’ll probably notice that the difference between this generation of the company’s gaming phone and the last are pretty similar, incremental improvements aside.

And finally, we get to the specific RAM and storage configurations, as well as their prices. Starting with the base model ASUS ROG Phone 7, this comes in 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations, priced at RM3599 and RM4299, respectively. As for the Ultimate model, this comes in only the 16GB + 512GB configuration, and is priced at RM4999. Worth noting is that the Ultimate edition also comes bundled with the AeroActive 7 cooler accessory. The base model gaming phones are available starting today, but ASUS Malaysia tells us that the Ultimate edition model will only be available on 15 May.
