Intel officially announced that its 13th Gen Core Series lineup, also known by the codename Raptor Lake, is finally coming to its vPro platform. For the uninitiated, the vPro platform is what the chipmaker promotes to businesses and professionals, rather than regular consumers.

The 13th Gen vPro platform isn’t just limited to the desktop, but also expands out to notebooks and workstations. As with all generational updates on this platform, the new Raptor Lake introduces new and improved security, compatible with some of the latest and most up-to-date software and hardware currently available in the ecosystem. If we’re talking specifics, we’re looking at approximately 93% better efficacy in detecting Ransomware attacks, an out-of-box silicon-based virtualisation security that works with Windows 11, among other features.

On the subject of threat detection, the new 13th Gen vPro series also comes with support for Intel’s Threat Detection Technology (TDT), making it, at current, one of the only platforms on the market with an AI-based threat detection for Windows-based systems.

Hardware-wise, the 13th Gen vPro processors are built on the same Intel 10 process node – again, just another fancy name by the chipmaker to distract users from its true nature of being a 10nm die lithography – and are available in a limited SKU list. For desktops, the vPro Enterprise CPUs include Core i5-13600K, Core i7-13700K, and Core i9-13900K. Also, these CPUs also run on the same TDP requirement as their consumer-based counterparts.

Continuing on, the list of vPro Enterprise CPUs also extends to both 65W and 35W models as well. Specifically, the 65W models include the non-K 13500, 13600, 13700, and 13900 SKUs, while the 35W lineup are listed as the 13500T, 13600T, 13700T, and 13900T.

Over at the vPro mobile segment, the list includes several of the same consumer SKUs, ranging from the U-Series and all the way up to the enthusiast-grade HX-Series. The list of processors are as follows:

U-Series:

  • Core i7-1365U
  • Core i5-1345U

P-Series:

  • Core i7-1370P
  • Core i5-1350P

H-Series:

  • Core i9-13900H
  • Core i7-13700H
  • Core 15-13600H

HX Series:

  • Core i9-13950HX
  • Core i7-13850HX
  • Core i5-13600HX

Intel’s new 13th Gen vPro CPUs will be made available via the machines and products of its OEM partners. This includes brands such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP Lenovo, and Samsung, among others.
