NJOI HD Pack Goes Official: Brings Together Significant Changes To Its Content Lineup

Astro today has launched the new NJOI HD Pack which allows NJOI customers to catch selected channels in HD resolution which is in line with the growing popularity of TVs with Full HD resolution and higher. The launch also marked a significant shift in terms of content arrangement for the service which was originally launched in 2012.

At the moment, NJOI customers would receive free access to 30 TV channels, as listed here:

The free channels list also includes Awesome TV and TVS which were not shown above.

With the rollout of the NJOI HD Pack which is priced at RM 15 with a validity of 30 days, NJOI’s free channel list would be trimmed to 18. This is because 10 HD channels including Astro Prima, Astro Oasis, Astro Vaanavil, Astro Xiao Tai Yang, Astro AEC, CCTV4, Astro Awani, Hello, eGG and Astro Arena together with Makkal TV and Celestial Classic Movies have now become part of the subscription-based pack instead.

However, the Director of NJOI, Mazhairul Jamaludin has stated that the new arrangement will only be applicable for new NJOI customers. Existing users will continue to have access to all the free channels that they are currently enjoying today.

In conjunction with the launch of the NJOI HD Pack, the first 5,000 customers that purchase the new pack through the equally new My NJOI App will receive a rebate of RM 10. This offer is valid starting from tomorrow, 28 April onwards until 31 July 2021.

From 30 April until 31 October, customers can also obtain RM 10 discount for the NJOI HD Pack if they obtain it together with selected NJOI Prepaid packs. One such example is the Sports Pass which is also inclusive of all 51 live matches from UEFA Euro 2020 in HD through two dedicated channels.

That being said, customers need to purchase the pass between 5 to 31 May in order to obtain access to the tournament for RM 70 or RM 75 if customers choose to bundle the pass with NJOI HD Pack. After 31 May, the price of the Sports Pass will go up to RM 80 although the RM 10 discount offer for NJOI HD Pack will continue to be available until the end of October as mentioned earlier.

As for the NJOI box itself, it currently has a retail price of RM 379 inclusive of installation fees. For more details, check out NJOI’s official website starting from tomorrow onwards or you can also WhatsApp directly to 03-9543 8100.
