ShopeePay has launched a new feature called ‘Deals Near Me’ that uses location-based services to show users deals in their immediate vicinity. With this, users can purchase the relevant vouchers on the app and then redeem them immediately at the physical outlets to receive cashback when they pay.
Since 1 April, the feature has brought over 100,000 customers to 130 early adopters, Shopee claimed. Top merchants include MR DIY, Tealive, The Black Whale and more.
“Deals Near Me helps merchants improve their online visibility and direct would-be customers to their outlets when we feature their cashback deals to consumers that are already in the vicinity,” said Head of ShopeePay Malaysia Alain Yee.
Launched during the Raya Bersama Shopee campaign – taking place now until 14 May – there are vouchers specially curated for Ramadan that can be found at three different times of the day: Sahur Specials at 5am, Jom Berbuka dengan ShopeePay at 12pm, and Moreh Specials at 10pm.
The vouchers can be bought for just 5 sen to earn up to RM8 cashback from merchants such as Nasi Kandar Pelita, Nando’s, TGI Friday’s, Boat Noodle, Johnny’s, OLDTOWN White Coffee, J.Co Donuts and Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart.
The Raya Bersama Shopee campaign will also offer users free shipping with no minimum spend and deals from as low as RM1. For more information on the campaign, you can visit its official webpage.
