Red Barrels, creator of the well-known Outlast franchise have announced that it will be bringing Outlast, Outlast: Whistleblower, and Outlast II to the Nintendo Switch. The developer has recently announced the Outlast: Bundle of Terror for the Nintendo console, which contains both the original Outlast game as well as the Whistleblower DLC.
For those who are not aware, Outlast tells the story of Miles Upshure, a journalist, who went to an abandoned asylum called Mount Massive Asylum after receiving an email informing him of an illegal experiment that Murkoff Corporation was conducting inside. The original Outlast game was released back in 2013 on PC, and was later released for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014.
It’ll be interesting to see if Red Barrels would incorporate the Nintendo Switch’s JoyCons motion controls in its games. That aside, whilst Outlast Bundle of Terror has been released on the Nintendo Switch (eShop), the release date for Outlast II for the console has not been announced by Red Barrels at the time of writing.
