One of the biggest Dota 2 events to take place in Malaysia concluded with Newbee’s victory over Team Liquid at ESL One Genting 2018 last night. Not only was it the first-ever Dota 2 Minor championship to take place in Malaysia – it’s the second one in Southeast Asia – it was a very eventful tournament too.

Even though ESL One Genting 2018 was only a Dota 2 Minor event (instead of a Major championship with a larger prize pool), it was certainly a very entertaining tournament. We reckon it was also a night to remember for fans of Newbee – the Chinese team finally got its revenge over reigning TI7 champion, Team Liquid.
