Not too long ago, vivo announced its partnership with Digi. Naturally, the telco company now offers a number of vivo smartphones with its range of telco plans. The most interesting of the bunch is definitely the vivo V5s: those who sign up for Digi’s Postpaid 138 plan can get the device free of charge.
Of course, the vivo V5s is also available at a discounted price for those who sign up for Digi’s other plans. If you opt for the Digi Postpaid 108 plan, you’ll only have to pay RM289 for the device. Digi Postpaid 78 subscribers, on the other hand, can get the V5s for RM569. To sweeten the deal, the V5s also comes with 1GB extra internet for a year.
As far as specifications go, the vivo V5s is comfortably a mid-range smartphone. It comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a 3,000mAh battery, and an AK4376 DAC.
What makes the V5s particularly unique is the fact that it comes with a 20MP Sony IMX376 selfie camera complete with a front-facing flash. We took it for a spin not too long ago, and we’re pleasantly surprised with its feature set. The rear camera, on the other hand, is a 13MP shooter with phase detection autofocus.
