Computex 2016: Apacer Shows Off Its 256GB MicroSD Card and Military-Grade External HDD

With the amount of contents that users consume these days, it is not surprising that there is a growing need for higher capacity storage space. If you are feeling the need for more storage on your mobile devices, the upcoming Apacer 256GB microSD card might be suitable for you.

Offering a maximum read speed of 85MB/s and write speed of 40MB/s, this UHS Speed Class I microSD card also meets the latest SD 3.0 interface standard. No other details have been revealed to us though but we were informed that the new microSD card is scheduled for release in July 2016 worldwide.

At the same time, Apacer has also showcased the “military-grade” AC830 external hard drive which apparently able to withstand up to 600kg of weight on it. This is apparently made by possible by an internal suspension system within its interior.

In addition to its shock-proof capability, the AC830 is also designed to meet IP68 water and dust resistant standard. Available with up to 4TB of storage space, this USB 3.1 Gen 1 external hard drive is scheduled for release in September.

For those who need something that is more down to earth, there is the AC531 external hard drive which is equipped with a cover that has been designed to protect the drive from dust as well as drops from up to 1 meter of height. This particular USB 3.1 Gen 1 external HDD will be made available with up to 2TB of storage once it arrived in the market by end of June.
