Google has finally decided to give its Play family of apps a makeover. The new icons are now flat and more colourful, and finally look consistent with all Play products offered by the company.
The icons that will be receiving a new look include Play Store, Play Music, Play Movies & TV, Play Games, Play Books and Play Newsstand. Google says the new design will be rolled out over the coming weeks, so don’t be surprised to see brighter, flat icons with solid colours.
For years since its launch, these icons in the Google Play line have always looked completely different from each other. The new design now puts the triangular “play” button at the background, clearly distinguishing them as Google Play products.
