Asus is celebrating its 20th year of manufacturing graphics cards and it came with the most worthy product to highlight it. Enter the GTX 980 Ti 20th Anniversary Gold Editon, Asus’s newest addition to its GTX 980 Ti family. On a factual note, Asus began manufacturing graphics cards since 1995 and is one of the most highly regarded manufacturer of graphics cards today.

The GTX 980 Ti Gold Edition was first detailed to us during a regional-level technical workshop with Asus. According to the Taiwanese company, this graphics card will be the fastest GTX 980 Ti ever made. There are plenty of reasons why Asus is speaking highly of its 20th anniversary GTX 980 Ti.

One of the reasons why GTX 980 Ti Gold Edition graphics card is special to Asus is because it has clock speeds of 1266MHz and 1367MHz when boosted. In comparison, Asus’ ROG Matrix GTX 980 Ti only has a base clock of 1216MHz and 1317MHz respectively. In that sense, the company claims that the Gold Edition GTX 980 Ti can achieve higher frame rates on games when compared against other iterations of the GPU.

Other features of the GTX 980 Ti Gold Edition includes a colour-coded load indicator – that displays the GPU load level – and DirectCU II cooling solution with 0dB fans. These additions will provide reduction to noise output from the graphics card up to three times and 30% cooler when compared to the reference card.

Asus said that the GTX 980 Ti 20th Anniversary Gold Edition will be available worldwide by the end of November. However, Asus did not provide a price for its special edition card, but it’s safe to assume that it won’t be as affordable as a standard GTX 980 Ti. Further details and full specifications of this graphics card can be found on Asus’ website.
