Since 2011, Flexiroam has established itself as an international roaming provider for travelers through its prepaid Roaming Pass and SIM cards. Now, the company has expanded its product line up by launching the brand new Flexiroam App.
Just like the company’s existing products, Flexiroam App is designed to cater travelers that want to reduce their IDD or roaming charges. Hence, it is not surprising to see that one of the app’s key features is the ability to make calls to any mobile or landline numbers throughout the world for as low as USD 0.01 (about RM 0.04) per minute.
Of course, users can save even further if their contacts are also using Flexiroam App as well since calls and text messages between Flexiroam App users are free. Furthermore, the app also comes with video call capability and all communications done through the app is protected by 256-bit AES encryption as well as TLS 1.2 signaling encryption.
The app is also designed to provide flexibility for its users by allowing them to rent dedicated phone numbers from more than 55 countries throughout the world rather easily and swiftly through the app. This might be useful for certain customers such as business users who want to maintain communication with their oversea customers or parents with children that are studying outside of Malaysia.
However, the app does require Internet connection either through cellular data connectivity or Wi-Fi since almost all of its operations are done through Internet. In terms of payment, users are able to top-up their credit directly from the app itself although do note that Flexiroam App uses USD as its currency.
