Otterbox, the company renowned for producing water and shock resistant cases for mobile phones, has introduced a new line of cases for the iPhone 6. A total of three new cases are now available for purchase on local shores and will start at a price of RM139 up to RM189.
The first and the cheapest case is the Commuter Series cases. The case is actually a two-piece cover that is comprised of a shell and a slipcover. The slipcover is situated in the interior of the case and functions to protect the phone from impacts whereas the shell is made out of polycarbonate.
In terms of aesthetics, the shell will sport a texturised cover and will come in colours of, cyan, dark blue, white, and black. The slipcover will come in colours such as black, grey, pink, blue, and cyan.
The second in the trio of cases is the Symmetry Series. This case is constructed out of a dual-material one piece design with a synthetic rubber interior and an external polycarbonate shell. The synthetic rubber is supposed to protect the phone from shock in the event that it is dropped while the hard polycarbonate exterior is effective at protecting the phone against minimal scratches.
The case will also come in a few colours, namely Blue Print, Glacier, Black, Damson Berry, Teal Rose, Aqua Dot, Floral Pond, Poppy Petal and Eden Teal.
The Defender Series is the last case in the series and aims to provide the highest levels of protection for the iPhone 6 as claimed by Otterbox. Much like the Commuter Series, the case is comprised of a slipcover and shell. The case will also feature a built in screen protector and a protective membrane that covers the Home button on the phone by protecting it against dust, debris and grime. A belt-clip holster will also come with the Defender Series which allows users easier access to their phones.
As for the colour options, users have a choice of Black, White, Blaze Pink, Light Teal, Admiral Blue, Gunmetal Grey, Citron Green and Blaze Orange. The slipcover will also feature colour choices of Black, Grey, Blaze Pink, Damson Purple, Dark Jade, Deep Water Blue, Opal Purple and Light Teal.
The Commuter, Symmetry, and Defender series will be available for a price of RM139, RM149, and RM189 respectively. The cases can be purchased from the Otterbox website or from selected local retailers.
