If you are a fan of the functionality of the Google Chromecast but don’t like the platform and content limitations at the moment, have no fear, the Firefox OS Media Stick is right around the corner. Like the Chromecast, the Firefox OS Media Stick allows you to stream media content to your TV this time using any software. The big difference here is the open bootloader allowing for a whole host of customization and hacks to completely tap into the potential of the platform. As yet, the support is not fully there, it being in prototype stage and all but it does look promising to say the least.
