The MacBook Air was truly a revolutionary device when it was announced but one thing was always missing when a refresh came – A brand new retina display. Despite the fact that most of Apple’s MacBook line has gone Retina, the Macbook Air remains the only one unchanged much to the ire of many looking for the upgrade.
Rumours coming from Apple’s supply chain indicate that the laptop will finally be getting the Retina Display makeover it deserves in Summer 2014. Along with that come rumours that the new retina display MacBook Air will be both thinner and lighter by eliminating the internal fan. I didn’t think that it could be possible to make it any thinner than it already is but only time will tell. There are also reports that indicate the possibility of a 12inch model for the MacBook Air family.
