Good news for those eagerly awaiting for the local release of the HTC Butterfly, the first of the new 5-inch Full HD Android smartphones set to make their mark in 2013. HTC Malaysia, via its Facebook and Twitter page, have confirmed that the device will be making its way to our shores soon. Unfortunately, it did not go on to mention when it will be released, as well as any pricing information on the Butterfly.
This makes the HTC Butterfly the second 5-inch Android to announce its availability for Malaysia, after Oppo announced sixteen countries that the Find 5 will be made available this quarter. To recap, the HTC Butterfly boasts some seriously powerful hardware, such as a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor buzzing at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch Full HD Super LCD 3 screen, and an 8MP backside-illuminated f2.0 camera and a 2.1MP wide-angle front-facing camera.
