At today’s Limitless Possibilities event by Lenovo Malaysia, the company also revealed that its upcoming flagship Vibe X smartphone will be coming to Malaysia “very early” in 2014, with a release sometime in the first quarter. The Vibe X, which is also known as the S960, was announced in September this year at IFA 2013, alongside the Yoga 2 Pro and ThinkPad Yoga Ultrabooks.
To jog the memory, the Lenovo Vibe X is powered by a Mediatek MT6589T 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of non-expandable storage and a 2000mAh battery. There’s a 5-inch Full HD IPS display protected by Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 3, while Lenovo’s also fitted the Android 4.2-running Vibe X with a 13MP rear camera as well as a 5MP wide-angle front-facing camera that also sports facial enhancement software.
Besides that, Lenovo Malaysia also announced that a refreshed edition of its current flagship, the K900, is available from today. The refreshed K900 smartphone now has double the internal storage to 32GB, and sports a new sleek black colourway. Its retail price has also been retained at RM1499.
