Good news for all of you who are using the free version of Spotify, as reported by the Wall Street Journal last week, Spotify has indeed been working on bringing its free music streaming to mobile devices and is now available on both Android and iOS platforms.
Spotify for Android and iOS was previously only available for Premium users paying RM15/month for an ad-free version. The new free service will come with ads and a slight twist – you can only shuffle play. This means that instead of playing that specific track you want, you can only hit the shuffle button in an album and listen to tracks randomly, hey, at least you get to specify the artist you want right? Shuffle play applies for any album and even your personalized playlist.
Other than that, everything else works pretty much the same as the free desktop version of Spotify, you can still create your favorite playlists, share and discover new music. Get Spotify on your Android or iOS device now.
