The KL leg of the PC Expo kicks off today at the Mid Valley Convention Centre in Mid Valley Megamall, and we were there earlier to check it out. Read on after the break for more photos and details.
Among others, Windows 8 plays a central role for this event, as Microsoft’s latest operating system takes centre stage – literally. The first booth you will see after entering is Microsoft’s booth that is packed with Windows 8 devices: the sexy Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabook, the Toshiba U920T hybrid Ultrabook, plenty of all-in-ones (AIO), the massive Sharp touchscreen display, and the interesting new Microsoft hardware optimised for Windows 8.
And, surprise, surprise. The Windows Phone 8X by HTC makes its first public appearance here as well. You can check out our quick preview on it, as well as pre-order details here.
Besides that, there are plenty of other booths offering awesome discounts, such as Logitech mice and desktop combos, external hard drives and memory cards. Not forgetting, plenty of smartphone deals from Nokia, LG, and Samsung. (Hint: There’s one booth selling the Galaxy S3 at RM1699. You read that right. RM1699. But you must ask for discount!)
Finally, the local telcos booths will swarm you with pamphlets, but there may be some good deals by them.
