It seems that the haze is here to stay. Kuala Lumpur and most parts of Klang Valley right up north to Taiping and the southern town of Muar are blanketed in thick haze. The air quality index for today is not yet out, but chances are it has definately crossed the unhealthy level. Visibility is down to almost 0.25km, making it somewhat of a hazard for vehicles, especially those which rely on clear visibility to operate. Get your surgical masks out if you're planning to go out into the sea of smoke, unless you're already heading to the nearby clinic for a checkup.
