In conjunction with the “Samsung Mobile Completes Me” Convention today, Samsung Malaysia Electronics launched “Live Loud” – the music edition mobile phones platform that will feature a series of music events tailored to music enthusiasts. In kicking off the music phones under the “Live Loud” platform showcased three new music mobile phones namely the SGH-i450, a 3.5G Symbian Smartphone equipped with Bang & Olufsen speakers, SGH-F330 with 18 hours of music playback, and the sleek slider SGH-F250.

“With the ever changing trends and diversity of the market, at Samsung we are constantly adapting and improving to cater to the needs of our consumers. As music plays a vital role in the lives of consumers today, the “Live Loud” platform and the three new music phones are catered more towards the music enthusiasts,” said Mr. Alex Wong, Director of Sales and Marketing, Mobile Phone Marketing, Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd. 

The three phones are priced as follows; The SGH-i450 at RM1,599, the SGH-F330 at RM1,399, and the SGH-F250 at RM799.

Samsung SGH-i450 

The Samsung SGH-i450 is a music phone that offers a dual slider design and touch wheel music navigation. When the i450 slides up, the mobile phone supports powerful smartphone features with Symbian S60 OS. Running the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system, the i450 provides advanced download application and multitasking features in fast speed through HSDPA connectivity. When it slides down, the phone activates as a music player with touch wheel navigation, which enables the users to control the multimedia menus easily. Moreover, metallic speakers supporting ICEpower® amplifier developed by Bang & Olufsen offer superb sound quality to music phone users.

Samsung SGH-F330 

The Samsung SGH-F330 was first introduced in Malaysia in December last year and has been well received by Malaysians. This music slider features playback music up to a stunning 18 hours with embedded music player that supports multi-codecs for playback of all music formats and music hotkeys that are conveniently placed on the front and side of the mobile phone with volume, play, pause, fast-forward and rewind buttons all within the reach of the user’s fingertips. In addition, this powerful music slider is pre-installed with Windows Media Digital Rights Management (WMDRM) where users can enjoy easy back and forth transfers of purchased music between the mobile and PC. This technology powerhouse comes with HSDPA (3.5G) connectivity to allow users to download large files, stream videos, and even hold video conversations at ease with speeds as fast as 3.6 Mbps. It features a 2.0 mega-pixel camera and external microSD slot for memory expansion up to 4GB in an extremely portable 13.5mm slim profile.

Samsung SGH-F250 

The Samsung SGH-F250 is a sleek and good-looking music phone that comes equipped with dedicated music playback navigation keys on the front. This glossy tri-band GSM/EDGE slider music phone has a stylish metallic keypad and with an optional 2GB MicroSD card, where you can store up to 1,500 tracks in various formats which you can enjoy using Stereo Bluetooth.
