TAG Heuer's motor-racing heritage isn't just a remnant of the past. In
fact, the Swiss watch brand has found enough inspiration from its track
record to breathe life into the sporty new Grand Carrera watch series,
as well as to produce a photographic exhibition and charity event
celebrating influential men and women and the "dream machines, or GT
cars, that inspire them.
The Grand Carrera collection includes several new
models that pay homage to the original 1964 Carrera design, yet are
updated with a new way to display time: the TAG Heuer Calibre RS
movement. The GT engine-inspired rotating system enables wearers to
easily read small seconds, a second time zone or chronograph time.
The brand says the collection is redefining the
luxury sports watch category with its blend of sophisticated design and
highly advanced movements. All models feature oversized screw-in crowns
and push-button clasps, polished beveled edges and curved, faceted
horns on both case sides, along with a double sapphire crystal caseback.
