Samsung SGH-G800 Starts Shipping to Europe |

Samsung debuts another 5 megapixel camera phone, this one equipped with a 3x optical zoom. The new Samsung SGH-G800 is a triband GSM/3G UMTS2100/HSDPA slider with dimensions of 101 x 51 x 19mm. This striking phone is scheduled to be at retailers in Europe next month (no word as to price yet), but there is no word yet as to its release in Asia Pacific.

Besdies its 3x optical zoom, the G800 also boasts Xenon flash,
digital image stabilization, red-eye reduction, wide dynamic range and
face recognition capability, functions you would normally expect in a digital camera. Other specs worthy of note are the 2.4-inch 262K colour 320 x 240
pixel QVGA display, microSD card slot as well as USB2.0/Bluetooth 2.0
connectivity. The G800 is touted by Samsung as a multimedia player as it is ready for mobile television. We'll just have to wait for an announcement about its arrival on our shores!
