Sony Malaysia has just officially launched the Playstation 3 locally at a launch event held in 1 Utama, PJ last Saturday. Officiating the launch was none other than Sony Computer Entertainment Asia's CEO, Tetsuhiko Yasuda.
The new local PS3 is offered in 3 different packages. RM1968 with 2 Dualshock3 controllers and RM1799 with one. Both packages includes the game Soul Caliber IV and one other game of the buyer's choice.The third package is only available through Sony online store which is a base system with no games at RM1599.
Naturally there was a queue to be one of the first and it was no exception as there were people queuing since Thursday night. They patience were well rewarded as the first 120 (then later extended to 170) were given Sony Style vouchers valued from RM1000 to RM50 with the first 3 getting the RM1000 voucher

Comment: damn... so cheap... around rm15XX... bought the SG set around rm1800 WITHOUT free cd and dual shock 3 (just get the standard sixaxis)
