Not long after AMD announced their amazingly fast Radeon HD 5970, NVIDIA sneakily posted up a picture of a graphic card that is running on their upcoming GF100 GPU on the company's Facebook page. In the sneak preview, the card was shown running a DirectX 11 benchmarking program on what seemed to be a Dell 24" LCD display.
Not to be confused with the current low-end GeForce 100 graphic cards series, the GF100 chip is based on NVIDIA's Fermi architecture and will be put into use starting from their upcoming GeForce 300 graphic card series, expected to be out sometime in 2010.
Guess the teaser is just NVIDIA's way to tell AMD that whatever AMD got, NVIDIA definitely has an answer for it. However, since the Radeon HD5970 is going to be in the market very-very soon and the GeForce 300 series will only be out next year, isn't that also means NVIDIA has been left behind by AMD?
