A mini tournament between four youth squads from around Kuala Lumpur was held in conjunction with the launching of the new Malaysian national team kit. Held in the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras, the tournament saw a youth team from Subang Jaya walk away as the champions of the day. The new Malaysian national team kit by Nike underwent some subtle changes to made it uniquely Malaysian. The kit will be available for purchase in selected Nike stores nationwide.
