Things around here have gotten unbearably slow over the holiday season, and it's pretty much my fault. I sorta over indulged in the year end traveling, and left the show unmanned.

However, I'm glad to announce that I'm back from my galavanting and am back to serve you full time!

First and foremost, I'd like to wish all our readers a Happy and Blessed New Year 2009! In the blink of an eye, 2008 has gone and passed, and a brand new year is ready for our chaos!

I've spent the better part of today cleaning up my humble cubicle, and have stumbled upon some gems which I didn't manage to review in 2008. I know they're officially last year's news now, but if you're into old stuff like TV tuner cards, mobile phones and Intel's fastest processor in the world, then expect a truck load of reviews coming to you this January!

January also looks to be a good month for launches, as two events will be taking place in the near future - albiet on different sides of the world.

Today, the doors to Macworld 2009 open at The Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. Serving as the annual pilgrimage destination for Apple fanboys the world over, expect a heavier than normal dose of Mac news in the days to come.

A little closer to home, anticipations are heating up over Friday's (9 January) launching of the Nokia 5800 a.k.a. The Tube here on Malaysian soil. We still have no idea on how much this guy will cost, and since the Comes With Music service will most likely be unavailable locally, we're also wondering if that will have an impact on the sales figures.

I'd like to end this entry by saying that I still foresee some tough times up ahead, and that it's important to spend prudently. Even though it's the new year, it doesn't automatically mean that you'll need that new phone/camera/notebook. So remember folks - spend that hard earned cash wisely!

On a lighter note, I'd also like to remind you folks that voting for our Booth Babes of PC Fair III 2008 has been extended by a week. Name: 3xistenz	Comment: Non-official sets were already available before Christmas. The availability I mentioned here is for the authorised sets from Avaxx and it's available since 2nd Jan. Aside to alex, I am sure you've paid the official price for the 5800. And on the launch @ Pavilion KL, they are going to sell it at, you guess it, RM1499 as well.
