Minority Report-esque UI Almost A Reality, Looks Pretty Geeky

Remember how Tom Cruise stroked and caressed his fingers through the air, sending his office workstation (equivalent) into a quivery orgasmic fever? We do, and since then, we've have seen just about everyone from Microsoft to dodgy Russian backyard engineers trying their hand at emulating the Minority Report Experience.

Today, Oblong Industries joins the long list of gesture UI developers with their own version of hand waving goodness called g-speak. However, it isn't just the interface that's Minority Report-ish, because apparently one of the science advisers from the Spielberg flick was a part of the development team too.

there might be some sensitivity issue regarding this new technology. Surely they wont post any sloppy mistakes or bugs or the system's miss interpretation of your desired responsivity right ?
I cant see the need yet . since we are using a faster way to "fetch" information . its called "search". But who knows , this might be the next best thing since the creation of a pointing device (mouse). but the real flaw i can see is that , it needs an awful lots of space. im gonna stick to my mouse , thank you very much :D

I have been to Muzium Kraftangan MAlaysia at KL.
They have something like that too, but of coz not that canggih.

You can use your hand and wave in the air as like moving a mouse. Quite cool. Just pay RM3 as entrance fee for adult. bigsmile-smiley
