Magical Charging Mat Spotted At CES

Don't worry guys, we haven't forgotten about you lot either. But even though the image above might look rather blah (it's a mobile phone on a mat, big deal) we assure you that it's drool worthy.

Called the Powermat, the black strip of fabric that the RAZR is laying on is actually an induction charger. Apparently, all you have to do to charge your mobile phone, portable media player or portable gaming device is to simply place it on the Powermat, flip the switch and wait.

Powermat reps claimed that it's product would charge a device in about the same time as a conventional charger would, but the bigger question remains - how long will it take for us to see something like this being able to work with ALL our devices and gadgets?

Even though we predict the answer will probably tinker on the scales of never (why make everything work with the Powermat when we can earn millions from the sales of chargers?), we certainly hope to see more of this interesting product in the future.
