Due to the wonderful fact that the world is round, most of us were probably asleep (or too busy trolling the forums to pay notice) when Steve Jobs took the stage and launched the new range of MacBooks. He also announced the release of a new 24-inch Cinema display, but we're pretty sure that you peeps are more interested in the 'Books.
Unfortunately though, Apple Malaysia's PR liason has been very hush hush about the details, but in all fairness, that's probably because they've yet to receive any directive from Apple Malaysia. But just because we don't have one / havn't seen it in flesh doesn't mean we can't post about it, so here are some links to a few of the best first impression / unboxing write-ups we could find.
Comment: 'on the Pro you'll get that pair of NVIDIA graphics chips, the GeForce 9400M and 9600M GT'(http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/14/new-macbook-macbook-pro-unboxing-and-first-impressions/) two graphic card!

Comment: I was following the live updates direct from cupertino via engadget and gizmodo. sigh... even singapore has an official online apple store (http://store.apple.com/sg) that was updated in sync with other global stores around the world. why are we always so left behind ah in terms of product/album/movie releases? www.applemalaysia.com.my is worthless.
and to my dismay, dollar-to-dollar costs so much better in singapore - them getting a macbook pro (S$3,188) is equivalent lah to us getting some cheap looking acer laptop that costs RM3,000
