Looking for a sub RM2,500 notebook? Well Lenovo has released its G400 notebook - a new notebook offering mobility on a budget to value-conscious consumers who are looking to make the transition from desktops to notebooks. The G400 features Intel’s Premium Dual-Core T2080 processor, and operates on Microsoft Disk Operating System (DOS). The Strip Black notebook comes in a sleek black cover and boasts a 14.1” WXGA high definition glossy widescreen display. Communication and entertainment features include an integrated microphone, Realtek High Definition Audio and limited edition Power2Go 5.5, multimedia software that allow the user to record various forms of data.

Dear Kit your comparison is not equally balance 1420 is just like a compact car (unicore) and g400 a sedan (dual core). Regardless if the memory is 1G but when the processing capability is limited, value for money I think lenovo is the best in it's class.thumbsupblue-smileyquestionclown

Comparing with Dell's Inspiron 1420.
- The 1420 has a Merom core, G400's a Yonah. Big difference. However, 1420's Celeron is a single core CPU, clock speed is higher as well.
- 1420 has X3100; G400 has 950. Nuff said.
- 1420 starts at RM1899, G400 starts at RM2099.
- 1420 has 1GB Memory; G400 has 512MB.
Just comparing the major components, my money goes to Dell.

Good or not??? Lenovo is a china company... It's not cheap than acer nor compaq anyway. I been saw a new lenovo laptop and find it's much diffrent than original IBM laptop and it even change the windows vista sound to those annoying sound effect. The keyboard look so like sony ericsson walkman phone
