Lenovo today introduced its first ever 17'' mobile workstation – the ThinkPad W700 – Lenovo's most powerful ThinkPad notebook ever.
Designed for the most demanding, high performance mobile users in fields such as digital content creation, computer assisted design, computer assisted manufacturing, photography, public sector and science as well as the oil and gas industries, Lenovo is bringing a new level of performance and leadership to the mobile workstation market.
The ThinkPad W700 is the first notebook PC to include a built-in palm rest digitizer -- ideal for digital content creation and CAD/CAM applications the mobile workstation's digitizer helps creators easily configure images by mapping them to the entire screen or to an area defined by the user. It also comes with an integrated color calibrator that automatically adjusts the display's color to produce the most accurate, true-to-life images in an integrated package.
Not forgetting the powerful performance and graphics with the
first-in-market technologies new NVIDIA® Quadro FX mobile graphics (FX
2700M and 3700M Open GL graphics processors with up to 1 GB of
dedicated video memory for exceptional graphics performance) and the
upcoming Intel® mobile quad core processor, the mobile workstation
supports the most graphics-intense and power hungry digital content
creators.
Other features such as optional dual hard drives with RAID
configurations, up to 8 GB of high speed DDR3 memory, a range of
wireless connectivity options and extensive multimedia capabilities
make the ThinkPad W700 mobile workstation the standard-bearer for power
and performance in a mobile workstation.
The ThinkPad W700 mobile workstation will be available from
September 2008 with models starting at RM10,199. It is available
