While most of us may think that the Sony Vaio P is a netbook, they made it clear that it most definitely is not - despite sharing the most important similarity; powered by Intel Atom. But we understood that of course it wasn't a netbook, classifying it a netbook and trying to sell it off at such ridiculously high price is near impossible. However, Sony has confirmed that they are joining the netbook trend with the new Sony Vaio W.
Powered by Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of hard-disk space and running on Windows XP, the Vaio W is not any different from other netbooks in terms of its specifications. However, as usual their target would be the more premier individuals so expect a higher price. With Sony's propriety software, it allows the system to be easily connected to PS3 - who would want to play games on a 10.1" screen? It will be available in three colors: white, brown and pink.
