Intel X Tumpang.com Jom Jimat Campaign

Intel recently joined forces with online bulk discount store, Tumpang.com, to run the Jom Jimat campaign.

Aiming at making the desktop PC more affordable the Jom Jimat @ Tumpang.com campaign can potentially give you up to RM600 in savings when purchasing a computer.

Using the bulk buy system, vendors are able to pass on savings to the consumer if a minimum quantity of pre-configured systems are sold through the website.

For example, the highest end system available via this promotion retails at RM4699. To obtain RM600 of savings, 15 units of this system must be ordered via Tumpang.com. To place your order, simply pay a (Ed: thanks for pointing that out) refundable RM50 "ordering fee" and hang tight. Once the remaining 14 units have been booked/sold, the price for this system is reduced to RM4099.

For more information on this campaign, log on to jomjimat.tumpang.com.

As of now also, there seems to be no one taking up the offer. So it's a pie in the face for the parties involved.

I can build a computer with the same spec at the same price here in Melaka. I can build it now for 1 customer or 20 customers. There is no RM600 savings here.

Google "Stygix" and check the pricelist.

hi guys, just to clarify the RM50 issue.

Take 15 units of Intel Core I7 system for example. The tumpang price is RM4099.

Interested buyers will only need to give their contact number and a upfront payment of RM50. Once the MOQ (15 units) is achieved, we will let each of the buyers know when and where they can collect their system COD style.

Buyers will then only need to pay the remaining amount which is RM4099-RM50=RM4049
thumbsup

In event the MOQ isn't achieved, all upfront payment will be RETURNED.thumbsup

Anyone can confirm that this is not a scam??

Do they publish orders in public?

I wonder how long it takes for that 15 units req to be reached, ppl could pull out and lose their RM50.

It is only fair if that RM50 is refunded after a period of time
