Intel Deals at PC Fair I 2008

If there are two thing you can be sure of during every PC Fair, its that you're bound to find some good deals and you'll have the chance to ogle at some of the booth babes. This piece of news however, is about the former. Intel together with a network of participating partners are offering a complete range of affordable Intel Core 2 Duo based PCs at RM1,099 and Intel Core 2 Quad systems at RM1,599.

Intel’s commitment to offer Intel Core 2 Quad systems at such an affordable price is part of the company’s ongoing initiative to provide mainstream consumers with a better choice of processors that enhance overall PC performance and multitasking capabilities. Meanwhile, entry level users who are looking for a basic day-to-day computing system will find the Intel Core 2 Duo based PCs ideal and extremely affordable as a tool for them to enjoy their first step into the exciting world of multi-media.

Apart from the great offers for Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Core 2 Quad systems, visitors to PC Fair can also look forward to other exciting promotions and giveaways from Intel. This includes an interactive SMS quiz where participants who respond to questions correctly will be able to redeem a free gift from the Intel redemption counter. To participate, visitors should look out for the Intel Bunnyman that carries an SMS-specified short code displayed on the LCD.

RM18 for parking at Mandarin Oriental, because there was NO OTHER PLACE to park. Please don't tell me bout talking the LRT - how do you carry a notebook, a printer and other small gizmos through the LRT station which is 2km away? Pray tell!

As it was, the walk around the Convention Centre was just too taxing - man! Up-down-in-out! What is this? Playing Maze? The walkabout is ridiculous. Flatter MINES or PWTC would have been much better. Parking there was less taxing and ample!

Then, inside - the hundreds of ill-trained girls and guys shoving brochures into your hands like you were some idiot seeking a wealth of knowledge from their waste-of-time-brochures! The credit-card-fool, tormenting you with their sales pitch - give me a break! It is PC Fair, not a credit card fare. No different from Maxis and TMNet broadband. Guys, if I want it, I'll come see you - what is so hard to understand with that?

To feast your eyes, tons of beauties without brains around. Slut-fair - go enjoy and ogle as much as you want. Though I felt, some of them should not wear their grandmothers underwear, to these shows - if you want to flaunt, I suggest a g-string la!

The nightmare was not over yet, coming out was no different - the traffic jams all over the convention centre - why? NO PLACE TO PARK! How ill-planned is this convention centre? PIKOM has a lot of answering to do. I just makes no sense for anyone to go there (if you can get there, mind you) and expect a bargain, when you have to pay RM18 for parking!

On the whole thumbsdown
PIKOM got a lot to learn!
I miss Star's Microfest!
