HP LAUNCHES SECOND ANNUAL PRINT WORLD EXPO |

HP initiated on Tuesday its second annual HP Print World showcase at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur. The printing and imaging solutions expo followed the success of last year's event, once again showcasing HP's leading edge solutions under one roof. The three-day event was open to HP partners and customers, and visitors also had the chance to see first hand HP's latest products and solutions.
New products showcased at the expo were the HP Laserjet P2015N, the multi-function printers CM1015 and CM1017, the Scanjet G4050 scanner and the HP Designjet 8000s as well as the Z3100 series of printers. The Scanjet G4050 scanner is the world's first 6-colour scanner with 96-bit depth colour. It features an integrated hardware dust and scratch removal feature, which automatically removes dust on slides or negatives by means of infrared scanning without additional software.

"Each HP product seen here today is targeted at a specific market, and at the same time they embody the HP philosophy of delivering versatile, simple and smart solutions. At HP Print World we are not only talking about our solutions, but we're also demonstrating them to visitors who can come and experience it first-hand," said Yan Yoke Ping, Country General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett Packard (M) Sdn Bhd.
The new products extend HP's Smart Office vision for SMBs as well as represent the company's flagship enterprise solutions that enable customers to consolidate, automate and simplify their IT infrastructure, thereby minimising resources and increasing productivity.
"Today's companies need smarter, high-performance and more reliable solutions that provide optimal business productivity in order to continue to thrive in a competitive marketplace," Yan added.
Yan also said that the showcase was only the beginning, and that the company is very excited with the host of new sproducts that will be launched this year. HP's new range of consumer products are expected to be unveiled during the second half of 2007.
