Celcom has recently introduced the Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Stick and the Celcom Broadband Wireless Gateway. The newly announced Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Stick is a continuation of the signed partnership agreement to jointly market products and services under a dual brand while the Huawei produced Celcom Broadband Wireless Gateway is a continuation of the partnership with Huawei which began with the Celcom Huawei 3G data card introduced in 2005.

Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Stick

Exclusive to Celcom, the Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Stick is a High-speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) Universal Serial Bus (USB) modem. It is a multi-mode wireless terminal for business professionals, featuring cutting-edge design and extremely compact size. With the device, mobile users can enjoy a superior connectivity experience via Celcom's unbeatable network due to its high speed dependable features, stability and convenient operation. 

The Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Stick is reliable, fast, and easy to operate, supporting future download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. Customers simply connect the device to their PC's USB port. With a size and form factor similar to a typical USB memory thumb drive, the Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Stick also features a MicroSD slot, enabling its versatile use as a normal USB memory thumb drive.

Celcom Broadband Wireless Gateway

The Celcom Broadband Wireless Gateway offers a cost-effective way for home users and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to enjoy shared wireless broadband access. The device serves as a mobile wireless router for a group of users, providing the following key benefits:

Faster speed. HSDPA-enabled with speeds of up to 7.2Mbps (network dependent).

Cost effectiveness. Allows access to Celcom wireless broadband on a sharing basis via built-in Wi-Fi capability.

Complete connectivity. For office communication needs, e.g. connecting an additional device such as printer, the device can be connected to the Wireless Gateway via its LAN Ethernet port, RJ-11 port or wireless connection. The device can also connect to a regular fixed phone to make voice calls simultaneously while surfing the internet.

Simpler maintenance. In an office setting, the Wireless Gateway eliminates the need for individual modems and lines for each employee.

One-time-configuration. The user only needs to set up the device once.

Comment: Dear all Celcom Users, I know that the service is still not at the level best as what you all expected it to be. Give them time. They are just barely one year old in this broadband service. You don't expect to get a son today and one month after that he can eat rice right? As for those who have problems in their connections, please do call Celcom Customer Care @ 1111 from your Celcom Postpaid / prepaid number or 1300 111 000 from other operator. Tell them your location that you are in, they will do their best to rectify the problem. They are currently doing a full server change from Alcatel to Erricsson to support and provide better service. You can expect the launching of 7.2 Mbps soon. Now all people brag about WiMax. Later what we can see is that all of them would say they S**ks too. That is very norm in us, Malaysians. I am a happy Celcom user as they can solve my problems within 72 hours after i complained. I tried Maxis and Streamyx before this, and currently decides that i would still stick to Celcom for its coverage, though sometimes in outskirt areas, there won't be any 3.6Mbps coverage. All i can say here is that Celcom is only 1 year old, but with more than 200K active custumers. Kudos! Celcom. I hope to see you do better in the coming future.
