It’s a professional with a touch of subtlety, two qualities that is very appealing to the aspiring professional photographer. The PowerShot G11 has added on a 2.8 inches Pure Color II LCD vari-angle LCD that is scratch resistant and allows easier framing of shots and captured images.
The premium quality Canon lens in the PowerShot G11 delivers picture-perfect performance, with its 5x wide angle zoom capability (equivalent to 28-140mm) and the Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS). The camera is capable of macro shots as close as 1cm. OIS allows handheld shots to be taken at much slower shutter speeds (4-stops), allowing better performance in darker conditions or at a lower ISO. The model is also equipped with motion detection, face detection and blink detection.
Together with the brand new i-Contrast automatic photo optimization, manual exposure shooting mode, which includes Aperture Priority (Av) and shutter speed priority mode, the PowerShot G11 is always ready to capture a perfect scene.

PowerShot S90
Canon’s PowerShot S90 features a black matte delicate body and comes equipped with the new rotating control ring. This feature allows users to adjust the settings of various functions by twisting the selector at the base on the lens barrel to the left or right. The control ring can be used as a quasi-manual zoom offering a closer view of subjects in 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 105mm steps.
It also allows the timing of shooting functions flexibly such as ISO (in1/3 stop increments), shutter, aperture, focus and exposure compensation and more at a touch of the finger allowing a new experience to the user. Topping that is the new Nostalgic Mode which allows the Control Ring to be used to add an aged effect to the shot, from a subtle faded look to full grainy black & white.
Furthermore, the PowerShot S90 also has the high aperture f2.0 wide angle lens with OIS that allows twice as much light into the camera as a f2.8 lens. The Optical Image Stabiliser technology also uses a lens-shift system to minimize camera shake and image blur- effectively giving photographers a 4-stop advantage over non-OIS cameras. The PowerShot S90 also spots 10.0 megapixel high-sensitivity low noise CCD for superb dynamic range and low-light detail to make the image quality subtle and elite.
