It's never pleasant to read announcements like this, but with the global economic slow down and the outlandish designs that B&O's line of phones (all two of them!) are infamous for, it was just waiting to happen.
“The CEO added that the increased focus on the core business means that
Bang & Olufsen will not be involved in the development of mobile
phones, co-branded products or stand-alone boxes such as DVD2 and HDR2.”
Was it a case of "wrong design, wrong time"? Or was it simply the case of "too expensive to own"? Well, at least it was fun (and garish) while it lasted.
