The ASUS P526 PDA Phone employs key Windows Mobile 6 Professional features, Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities and a host of messaging enhancements to allow users to experience Windows Live with improved stability and speed. By integrating many popular Windows Live mobile services, the P526 keeps users connected with their communities and lets them find the information they require quickly and without hassle. This trendy looking and feature-packed phone also aims to increase productivity with its business solution applications.

One key feature of the ASUS P526 is how it can allow users to use Windows Live to integrate contacts so that users can see who is (and who isn’t) online at any given time. Users can then share and update their lives via photos, instant messaging or e-mails.

The P526 also offers a convenient feature with the integrated Windows Mobile 6 Professional Smart Dial feature. Users can automatically pull up contacts when they start typing a first or last name with the keypad. Using the search bar located just beneath the current time launches web searches without having to open the browser – making web searches that much more user-friendly.

“The P526 is a trendy PDA phone for users who like to keep connected with their friends and online communities with ease via instant messengers, blog updates, e-mails and file transfers,” said H C Hung, Head of ASUSTeK's Handheld Business Unit. “Also, this phone allows users to utilize exclusive built-in applications like GPS for their business needs – increasing work productivity.”

“The ASUS P526 offers users a truly integrated device that allows them to enjoy the freedom of mobility without compromising on their ability to access the information they need, when they want it,” said Jason Lim, Regional Director for Asia Pacific and Japan, Microsoft’s Mobile Communication Business Division, Microsoft Corp. “The rich productivity and multimedia capabilities in Windows Mobile 6 delivers a familiar and rich experience that meets their professional and personal needs while on-the-go.”

Comprehensive GPS Capabilities

The GPS function of the ASUS P526 is able to plot a route to direct users to the right destination. With a user-friendly interface, users can easily program in the destination and then view directions, the distance traveled, street addresses, and the time and distance left for the journey. With this handy GPS function, users will find it easier to navigate in a foreign country and can even use it for walks.

Powerful Multimedia Experience

The P526’s built-in 2 Mega Pixel camera allows users to fully enjoy true-to-life visuals. Creating and uploading a mobile photo album is also easy with the P526’s built-in 2 Mega Pixel camera. The P526 also provides a full screen preview that makes it easier to take pictures, and an image editor to edit these pictures with ease. With quad-band EDGE, users can connect even faster for better audio/video streaming.

Exclusive and Innovative ASUS Features

Bundled within the ASUS P526 are exclusive ASUS software and applications that provide the user with a variety of helpful options. With the ASUS Launcher, users can enjoy a feature phone-like interface – making it easy to launch applications or functions.

ASUS’s Remote Presenter is a useful application that allows users to control Powerpoint presentations stored on a notebook or PC via a Bluetooth connection. Users can even read the footnotes of these presentations as on the P526’s LCD screen as they are presenting.

Planning an international teleconference meeting across three different time zones is made easy with ASUS’s innovative Meeting Planner. This feature helps to eliminate the hassle of time converting and makes meeting scheduling easier and more efficient than ever before.

Another useful and innovative feature is the ASUS My Secret function. It encrypts and protects sensitive documents away from prying eyes when it is activated. The ASUS Status feature keeps the user up to date with the status of the device; and the Profile function avoids embarrassing rings during meetings.
